Cave Country 2007
March 17th – 24th

Do you like to go into warm, wet, and dark places? We do! Want to go with us? We are heading down to Cave Country (High Springs, FL) in March of 2007 and would like our extended NESS family to go with us. Regardless of skill, Open Water through Full Cave we will have a great time! Bring your whole family if you want; there is something for everyone to do and we all will have a great time!

Dates: March 17th - 24th

We will be leaving to drive down on March 16th and heading back home on the 24th. Do not feel like driving 16+ hours strait? No problem! We can take your tanks and gear box down in the truck (for a nominal fee) so you and your family can fly in comfort down to Jacksonville, FL and then just rent a car there.

Accommodations:

As far as food and lodging in the High Springs area, there are numerous places to stay and eat in the area. Such as the High Springs Country Inn, Cadillac Motel, and The Ginnie Cottage. We are renting a trailer for the week, which has a bunkroom built in. If you would want to crash with us, let us know and we can work out the pricing.

Training:

Not a Cavern or Cave diver yet? No problem there! We have arranged for Ralph DiPanfilo, the NSS-CDS Director at Large, to be available for all of our training needs. Cavern up through Full Cave Ralph can teach you how to do it. He is a phenomenal instructor and a great guy. The fee schedule is based on the number of students in a particular class and class level. Look below for pricing.

Bring the whole family:

As I mentioned above, bring your whole family along if you want. Ginnie Springs outdoors (where we will be doing some of our diving and training) is a great place for the whole family, divers and non-divers alike. Besides the great cavern and cave diving, there is snorkeling, tubing on the Santa Fe River, and numerous outdoor activities to do. We will be only 2 hours from Orlando, so if you and your family want to go to Disney World, Universal Studios, or Sea World it is not a long drive. If playing with the mouse is not your thing we are also not far from Crystal River, where you can snorkel with the manatees or dive the springs and basins.

If you are interested in joining us for this year’s trip and want more information give John a call at the shop (610-631-2288) or you can e-mail Ben directly.
