This is a Oxygen gas boosting pump. The Pump is a double stage double acting. What this means is that the gas flows thru the first piston then it goes thru an intercooler into the second piston. The Double stage double acting pumps allow the user to scavenge the cylinder to a much lower supply pressure that way they get the most out of the supply cylinder. The pump also has an intercooler. The Intercooler is line that runs between the two pistons. It has a cooling section that lowers the temperature of the storage gases that are being pumped therefore allowing a safer boost. Hydraulics International’s Rebreather Booster for Dive Center and Dive Boat Owners, answers multiple requirements. It ensures full 2400-3450 psi (166-238 Bar) rebreather bottle fills even if the oxygen supply drops below 500-psi (34 Bar). The unit may be driven:

• Manually, by means of its integral hand pump assembly option (hand pump assembly sold separately) 
• a low pressure conventional air compressor
• Regulated high-Pressure air storage supply (SCBA bottles). Maximum 150-psi (10 Bar) air supply
