Dive Rite Reel Drag

Drag friction allows you to keep your line taunt while unspooling. Dive Rite offers a simple, yet reliable adjustable drag mechanism for 4100- and 4300-series reels. With the drag mechanism in place, the nylon lock-down screw makes direct contact with a lightweight metal disk. By varying the tension on the lock-down screw, you vary the amount of drag and it takes just a half turn to lock the spool firmly in place. If you back the lock-down screw off to the point where it makes no contact with the disk, the spool spins freely. The reel drag can be added to current Dive Rite reels as an after-market upgrade, or ordered pre-installed on new reels
